Diageo, one of the world's largest producers of spirits and beers, has joined forces with Molson Coors and Sky Sports to offer pubs a wider range of discounts on their Sky Sports package.
Previously pubs were able to receive discounts on their Sky Sports bill of up to 30 per cent by stocking and selling a range of Molson Coors beers. But now, if publicans add Diageo to their team, they have the potential to receive even bigger discounts.
For many pubs, live sport drives in footfall and customer demand means pubs need to be more than simply a good place to watch live sport.
This partnership combines a vast range of great quality beers with the biggest names and the biggest games, all at key trading times. It allows pubs to extend their sports and drinks offerings further.
John Hoares, who has been an operator at Cassidy's, Tunbridge Wells, for over 23 years, said: "Events such as Premier League matches, the Rugby World Cup and the Six Nations are great for business and it's great to see punters come down to the pub to have a drink and watch sporting events togethereven if they're supporting rival teams.
"We're known in the local area for being the pub to go to for sports, so being able to offer great sport and top-quality drinks in a friendly environment is key to our success.

The package works on a tiered system, offering licensees a chance to receive anything from a 15 per cent to a 50 per cent discount on Sky Sports.
