The global review site, TripAdvisor, has announced that it has crossed the 500 million reviews mark, since launching 17 years ago.
To mark the milestone, the site released a video (above) which explains how the site handles the task of moderating all this content.
The video describes what steps each review goes through before being published.
Stephen Kaufer, co-founder of TripAdvisor, said: “Many savvy businesses report seeing incremental increases in the ratings and rankings on TripAdvisor when they engage with travellers by responding to reviews and using the feedback to improve their customers’ experience."
Despite this, dealing with unfair TripAdvisor reviews is occasionally a bugbear for licensees.
