Coming soon to a bar near you is the latest in celebrity beers – Road Crew by Motörhead.

Brewed by Hartlepool's Camerons Brewery the beer is an American style pale ale and is named after the track '(We Are) The Road Crew', which appears on the Ace of Spades album.

Band members Mikkey Dee and Phil Campbell are involved in the on-going development of the beer, which is scheduled to launch later this year.

Camerons chief executive Chris Soley, said: We are delighted to work with the guys from Motörhead to create a collaboration beer from scratch.

"We've spent a lot of time working together to brew something innovative and sampled a wide range of different styles to ensure we did justice to the Motörhead name.

"Our primary objective was to create a fantastic tasting beer underpinned by the Motörhead branding. Although still in the trial phases of the Road Crew beer, we're confident that what we've started so far will achieve this."

The beer isn't the band's first foray into the world of drinks brands - a cider, Snaggletooth, was created in collaboration with Aston Manor back in May.

Earlier this year Status Quo launched a beer with Hobsons Brewery and New Order unveiled Stray Dog with Moorhouse's.
