A new hop has arrived in the UK – Denali, hailing from the US.

The hop has previously only been available in very limited quantities as part of a trial but recently arrived at the Twickenham Fine Ales brewery to be used in its Old Hands range.

The hop is said to have "big, bold flavours of pineapple, citrus and pine," and is part of the recipe for a new American Pale Ae. The new addition to the range will also be the first canned beer for the brand, confirmed marketing director Ben Norman.

"We are delighted to be bringing the Denali hop to the UK for this new beer, which we are confident will prove popular and build on our initial success with the Old Hands craft beer range," Ben said.

"Our launch into cans is also an exciting venture for us and one we hope will continue our drive to reach new audiences for our beers."

Old Hands Denali American Pale Ale is 5.5 per cent ABV and available in 330ml cans and 30l kegs from this week. The brand was originally launched in November.
