The new Stowford Press Mixed Berries flavour will be available exclusively in pubs and bars on draught this summer.
Fruit cider is driving growth in the cider category at the moment, up 41.4 per cent year-on-year, according to CGA. However, it still has just a quarter of the taps that draught apple does, so there is plenty of room for growth said Stowford Press brand manager, Holly Chadwick.
"Sales of fruit ciders are flourishing, driven by the vast number of consumers seeking out sweeter, refreshing flavours," she explained.
"25.7 million fruit pints (CGA to December 17) are now drunk in the on-trade, and it's clear to see that fruit ciders are broadening consumer interest in the wider category. By appealing to younger, female consumers who are often new to the category, fruit ciders are also driving incremental sales.
"Thanks to the substantial interest in fruit cider nationwide, within five years we expect it to account for just under 50 per cent of all cider sold."
Stowford Press Mixed Berries is a four per cent ABV cider which will be available from next month (April 2018). The launch will be supported with a media campaign due to roll out in May.
