The variant will hit supermarkets and off-licences next month (August) before rolling out across the on-trade in the autumn.
Brewer AB InBev claims the launch will be the first gluten-free beer in the premium lager category, as it aims to cater for the growing demand of free-from drinks.
Last year, 54 per cent of UK households purchased at least one 'free from' product, and households with consumers under 45-years-old were 20 per cent more likely to buy from the range, it said.
Stella Artois Gluten Free has been certified by Coeliac UK and is made with the same ingredients as Stella Artois but with the gluten removed.
"We're incredibly excited to be entering the gluten-free beer category with Stella Artois Gluten Free, making the UK's favourite beer brand more accessible to those who follow a gluten-free lifestyle," said marketing director for the brand, Alexis Berger.
