Brand owner Diageo has made two variants of the 0.5 per cent ABV pre-mixed gin and tonic available to pubs and bars in time for Christmas.

The drinks contain just 68 calories per serve and come in two flavours:


  • Gordon's Ultra Low Alcohol G&T with a Hint of Lime
  • Gordon's Ultra Low Alcohol G&T with a Hint of Grapefruit


The range was originally launched in the off-trade back in June.

Hywel Evans, innovation commercialisation manager at Diageo, said: "We know there is a credible opportunity for branded spirits within the low and non-alcoholic category, where consumers are increasingly searching for viable alternatives during those social occasions when they choose not to drink or want to moderate their alcohol intake.

"Gordon's Ultra Low Alcohol G&T provides a unique spirit-based drink which utilises our meticulously perfected distillant techniques to ensure that the final product does not compromise on taste or quality."

The non-alcohol category is in 22.2 per cent category growth, according to CGA data, while The Wine and Spirit Trade Association's (WSTA) latest report revealed that Brits bought over 60 million bottles of gin, in the 12-months to June 2018, making the gin sector worth over £1.6 billion, up 38 per cent on the same period the previous year.
