"In exchange for opening your minds and hearts to an American gin, I will have a word with Canada about opening their minds to British Maple Syrup. Deal?" the Canadian actor said.
He added: "Aviation American Gin is the best damn gin on the planet, and I look forward to proving that in the most discerning gin market on the planet, Great Britain,"
Aviation Gin, which is made in Portland Oregon, accounts for 30 per cent of the gin growth in the US (IWSR), which the makers claim makes it the world's fastest growing gin brand.
Ryan bought a significant stake in Aviation Gin back in 2018 from its owner Davos Brands.
He said the investment was because, "About a year ago, I tried Aviation for the first time. Since that day, I've spent my time finding some way to infiltrate the company. I did this for one simple reason: It's the best damn gin on the planet. Period.
"My responsibilities here at the company are vast. I'll spend my days being photographed intermittently clinching my jaw muscles while pointing at things and nodding. I'll drink Aviation Gin. I'll sit in board meetings, imagining my very own Red Wedding.
"I don't know whose idea it was to allow me into the gin business, but I can assure you, there are smarter, more reasonable people in charge.
Aviation Gin is lighter in style than juniper-heavy London Dry gins, featuring instead citrus and floral notes. Its seven botanicals include lavender, Indian sarsaparilla and anise.
Daniel Mandelbaum VP of marketing for Davos Brands said: "We want to disrupt the UK gin category by firmly establishing Aviation American Gin as a key player in the super-premium gin sector.
"The craft gin scene in the US is booming and Aviation is leading this growth with a quality spirit that gives traditional gins a run for their money."
The UK gin scene continues to boom with the Wine & Spirit Association, predicting that domestic sales of UK gin will surpass the 100 million bottle mark within the next year.
