Drinks giant Diageo has bought Tipplesworth, a pre-mixed cocktail specialist to make serving cocktails easier for on-trade outlets.
The cocktail market continues to grow in the on-trade with nine million people now enjoying them in 42,000 outlets in the UK.
It is hoped that Tipplesworth's system, which allows quality pre-mixed cocktails to be served consistently, at speed and at scale, will allow even more pubs and bars to tap into the market.
"The acquisition of Tipplesworth brings another great innovation into our portfolio," said Melissa Wisdom, commercial director Diageo GB – on-trade.
"The increasing popularity of cocktails in Great Britain is one of the trends driving spirits growth and this acquisition means we can now bring great quality 'on tap' cocktails to consumers in the on-trade across the country."
Tipplesworth's Espresso Martini and Passion Fruit Martini cocktails are currently available on tap in around 100 outlets across the country.
