The Catering Mark recognises businesses serving food that meets nutritional guidelines and assures consumers meals are traceable, healthy, made from fresh ingredients and free from trans fats and some additives.
Pubs which are looking to achieve the mark can now purchase brands such as McDougalls, Paxo and Ambrosia with the reassurance that they meet the scheme’s entry level criteria.
Sarah Robb, channel marketing manager at Premier Foods said: “With more steps being taken by foodservice operators towards achieving a sustainable supply chain, and increasing demand from caterers for socially responsible suppliers, we’re proud that we can offer a number of products within our foodservice portfolio to help meet this need and add real value for customers.”
Caterers can attain a Bronze, Silver or Gold standard of the Catering Mark. For more information visit: https://www.soilassociation.org/certification/catering/business-support-for-award-holders/standards/
