This year's Casual Dining show will focus on pub menu innovation and profitability, as a host of big pub-names gather to give talks.

Personalities from Marston’s, Young’s, Geronimo Inns, Hippo Inns, Fuller’s, and Living Ventures are among the keynote speakers at this year’s show, which returns to the Business Design Centre in London, on February 22-23.

The panels will discuss snacks, sharing platters, sides and all day dining - as food continues to be a crucial revenue stream for many UK pubs.

However, a good food offer goes hand-in-hand with a good drinks range, according to market researcher CGA.

Graeme Loudon of CGA Strategy said: “52 per cent of consumers say that alcohol is an important choice driver for where to eat.

“Despite this importance, data from CGA’s Business Leaders survey suggests that only 13 per cent of food operators rank their drinks offering as market leading.”

He will share his insights into consumer attitudes towards drinking, highlighting some key trends and opportunities (at 1.15pm in the Keynote Theatre, on February 23).

Market-leading drinks brands will be exhibiting at the show, with names such as Carlsberg, Budweiser Budvar, World Beers, Global Brands, Britvic, Fever-Tree & Fentimans.

Furthermore, the show’s Craft Beer & Cider Pavilion and Artisan Spirits Lounge will feature some of the country’s most well-known and newest microbreweries and distilleries.
