This pub has partnered with one of London’s “hottest young chefs” to offer some seriously head-turning burgers.

The Gunmakers pub in Clerkenwell has collaborated with award-winning chef Adam Rawson to offer these super-charged burgers, inspired by world flavours.

Adam won The YBF’s Chef of the Year in 2015 and named one of CODE Hospitality’s “30 under 30”, and is now a kitchen resident at the pub where he will offer six burgers and a collection of sides. 

The menu includes a Japanese-themed burger inspired by a recent trip to Japan, made with aged beef, Chashu (Japanese barbecue) braised pork belly, Nambanshu sauce (Japanese vinegar), edible seaweed & wasabi mayo.

Also a Peruvian burger with aged beef, crispy pork, aji rocotto ketchup, aji Amarillo mustard & salsa criolla, the Global Traveller burger with aged beef, gorgonzola, balsamic onions, pancetta & truffle aioli, plus the pub’s specially-created new signature burger The Gunmakers, with aged beef, Giovanna ham, Cornish brie, roasted pineapple, watercress & Mezcal BBQ sauce.

Sides on offer include smokey pork belly with honey & soy, fried chicken with yuzu mayonnaise and cheese rolls with smoked HP.

Adam has been a chef for 11 years and has trained under names such as Nuno Mendes, Claude Bosi and Gordon Ramsay.

The Gunmakers pub is a converted 1700s terraced house with a hair studio on the top floor.
