This pub is giving the Easter Bunny a run for its money by creating a limited edition handcrafted egg.

The White Hart in Weston In Gordano, Somerset, is flogging the Easter eggs filled with fudge and marshmallow from its pub patisserie.

Mike and Chris Yeatman, who own The White Hart, opened the patisserie in the pub last November with pastry chef, Marco Pilloni (below), who has worked in Michelin-starred restaurant Club Gascon in London, and cooked for the Queen.

The eggs cost £16 a pop and are available in milk, dark or white chocolate – all wrapped up and presented in cellophane with a decorative ribbon.

Chris said: “We’ve already had a fair few orders for the eggs and we’re expecting to sell lots.

“The patisserie attached to the pub helps us provide a community hub and attracts visitors from further afield who appreciate good food and the provenance of the ingredients and products they consume.”
