Runners-up in our Britain’s Best Pub Breakfast competition have already seen breakfast sales rocket, thanks to the award.

The Waggon Inn in Oldham, Greater Manchester, was placed second in the nationwide competition run in partnership with Kraft Heinz, and is giving away free bucks fizz with every breakfast to celebrate.

Chantelle Tupman-John, licensee of the pub, said: “We’ve not long started doing breakfasts, and since the award customers have started to clock on.

“We’ve got lots of tables booked in for breakfast this weekend, which we wouldn’t have had before.

“We source all the freshest ingredients from the best suppliers and we prepare each and every breakfast from scratch in our five-star rated kitchen by our award-winning chefs.

“To celebrate we are giving away bucks fizz with every breakfast throughout the rest of May.”
