Wadworth, the brewer and operator based in Devizes, Wiltshire, is celebrating Coeliac Awareness Week - May14 to 20 - with the launch of gluten free menus.



The menus, which will be across the whole 55 pubs of the pubco's managed estate, feature dishes including pub favourites such as pizzas and each pub will have on average 16 gluten free dishes for people to eat, including starters, mains and dessert options. 

Scott Ferguson, food development manager for Wadworth said, “People who have to choose to follow a gluten free diet shouldn’t need to miss out on anything.

"We have taken great care to create a very comprehensive range of gluten free dishes to suit everyone.”


Every gluten free menu is accredited with the Coeliac UK knife and fork symbol (left) which shows the food and its preparation is free from gluten.


It comes as Coeliac UK celebrates 50 years - and the charity is asking people to organise their own parties to raise £50.


The body has developed a series of recipes based on 1960s cooking - all gluten free, of course - for people to have at their anniversary fundraising parties. 

Wadworth also brew 6X Gold which is certified by Coeliac UK, a 4.5 per cent ABV hoppy, golden ale, with sweet malt and spicy notes and a zesty citrus aroma, which it promoted last year during Coeliac Awareness Week.
