A pub in Barnsley is celebrating National Afternoon Tea Week with a difference by serving its offer in Yorkshire Puddings.


Dearne Valley Farm in Barnsley has put classic afternoon tea treats into Yorkshire puds including egg mayo, cheese and pickle, as well as Victoria sponge filled with jam and cream. 

Emma Hodgson, general manager at Dearne Valley Farm, said: "Our Yorkshire puddings are a firm favourite on our carvery menu, so for National Afternoon Tea Week, we wanted to do something different and give our humble pud a whole new look.

"We look forward to inviting guests to try our new creation and are sure it's going to be a huge hit with new and regular guests alike."

The special dish will be available on request from Monday, 13 August, the beginning of Afternoon Tea Week, from 2pm to 5pm.

Plans have been made to roll out the dish across Greene King's Farmhouse Inns estate, which includes Dearne Valley Farm.
