England's former spin king Graeme Swann has compared his job as a pundit to being in the pub.
Swann will be part of the BT Sport team covering the Ashes, which get underway next week.
He said: "Our job is amazing at BT Sport and Test Match Special because it is like watching the cricket at the pub with your mates, if you take the swearing out.
"It's the greatest thing in the world. Sport is better in pubs than it is at home. I watch Newcastle United in the pub as often as I can in the pub because I live a long way from there."
Swann, who won the Ashes three times as a player and took 255 test wickets, predicts a 2-1 series and urged the England team to be positive.
"It (The Ashes) is bigger than any other series because you look forward to it more and it's more exciting. It's what you imagine playing as a kid.
"It can put fear into you, but that's worrying about what could go wrong rather than what could go right. If you focus on the negative side, you are going to have a stinker."
Meanwhile, former Ashes-winning skipper and fellow BT Sport pundit Michael Vaughan, has said he hoped pubs and clubs share his 'hatred' of Australia.
He said: "I have some of my best mates there and I love them as mates but in terms of cricket it's a hatred and I am sure people in pubs and clubs we feel the same. We all desperately want the England side to do well."
