The Fox & Hounds from Putney is the first team to make it through to the next stage of the BT Sport Pub Cup.

The tournament kicked off yesterday at Loftus Road – the home of QPR – with teams representing pubs from London and the south east taking part.

In a tough final The Fox & Hounds, drew 0-0 with The Griffin, Claygate, before narrowly squeezing through 3-2 in a penalty shootout.

QPR legend Andy Sinton was on hand to present the trophy to the winning side.

They will now play in the semi-finals at St George's Park in Burton along with qualifiers from events played this week and next at Goodison Park, Hillsborough, The Hawthorns, Easter Road, Bournemouth's Vitality Stadium, and The Den.

Two finalists will then play for the title at Leicester's King Power stadium on June 2 for the chance to win £5,000 of equipment and free BT Sport for a year for their pub.
