BT Sport is promising to deliver its biggest and best tournament for grassroots football teams and their pubs yet.

The BT Sport Pub Cup returns in May and will see more than 190 teams compete at stadiums around the country for a chance to win the cup along with £5,000 of equipment and free BT Sport for a year for the pub they are representing.

For the first time ever there will be also a Women's Cup running alongside the men's. Teams will compete in heats at Premier League grounds such as Anfield, St Mary's, Windsor Park, Murrayfield and Molineux.

Heat winners advance to a semi-finals day at Manchester City's Academy to compete for a chance to play in the final at Newcastle's St James' Park.

In another new element this year, every eligible team that registers to play in the competition will win a free full Puma strip for their club.

Bruce Cuthbert, director commercial customers, BT Sport, said: "This year we're bringing back the BT Sport Pub Cup, bigger and better, with more teams able to take part and the biggest pub team kit giveaway ever.

"Sport is such an important part of pub culture and this competition aims to strengthen the tie between licensees and their communities by offering a once in a life time experience to pub football teams up and down the country."
